Every large city has some type of mattress warehouse which plasters late-night TV with ad after ad. It may be hard to believe that a store could survive by selling only dining room tables, but many of these stores are thriving in cities all over the country. By placing an extremely large selection of a specific item in which people are searching for, you can get the customer in the door and they are more likely to purchase with this large variety of selection.
When shopping in one of these stores it is important to note that quality will also vary greatly from many different manufacturers. These stores thrive because they can offer everything from cheap discounted tables to very good quality expensive tables. By offering something for every type of shopper they can guarantee themselves a higher percentage of sales. Many of the sales associates in the stores work on commission. They will more than likely try to steer you towards the more expensive tables. When entering into any purchase you should always set a budget and never go above that set amount no matter what a salesperson tries to talk you into.
It may be easy to walk into one of these specialty dining room table stores and make a purchase that day. However, it is wise to comparison shop and try to find a comparable table at a few other retailers before making your purchase.
