All these lamps will look beautiful and last long only when maintained properly. They are available in various colors, shades and fabrics. They are easy to install and also make one of the best reading and desk lights. To keep looking as good as new and function properly you need to clean them regularly. Here is how you can clean your swag lamps. You will require water, duster, bucket, mild detergent, vacuum with attachments, soft cloth, rubber band and old nylons or cheesecloth.

Remove the dirt by gently dusting the surface of the lamp with the duster. You can also wipe the dust off using a soft cloth. If it is very dirty vacuum cleaning works best. You can cover the attachment using the nylons and secure it with the rubber band. Then suction the dirt off. If the dirt is stubborn, use water and mild detergent. Dip a cloth in this solution and wipe it clean. The cloth should have just enough water to wet the lamp’s surface. Then clean the lamp again using clean cloth dampened with water. Dry it thoroughly before using it. Use water only for materials that require it, otherwise you can simply dust it clean. For stubborn stains you can scrub it off using a toothbrush. Clean and neat lamps will look more beautiful and attractive.
