Ceiling speakers are a good way to use all the space you have available. In ceiling speakers also allow you to place each ceiling speaker around the room for the best sound. The more ceiling speakers you have, and the more you spread them out, the better and more even the sound will sound. When you’re watching movies, you’ll get that surround sound that many people have come to love and expect. However, ceiling speakers can also be used outdoors. You don’t have to limit yourself to using ceiling speakers only to your home entertainment system. You can also use them outside on your patio, in the garage, or in the garden. If you decide to get outdoor ceiling speakers, you’ll want to make sure that they are able to withstand moisture and anything else that they may be exposed to.
Ceiling mount speakers are great because they clear up some space on your floor or shelves where you might normally find speakers. Making them in wall ceiling speakers is just a good idea because of this reason. Not only this but you can also angle the speakers down towards you. This often provides a better sound than if they are just sitting on a shelf and pointing out in to the room. Having ceiling mounted speakers allows you to actually point the sound in the direction that you really want it pointed.
There are a lot of brands to choose from, so do a little research. Klipsch ceiling speakers are one of the best. You can’t go wrong with these. Don’t just go out and buy Klipsh though, do more research. Try at least looking at KEF ceiling speakers as well. There are however more brands than just these two, but that will get you started with some top of the line ceiling speakers and will give you a clue of what to look for.
After you’ve bought your ceiling speakers you’re going to want to install them in your house, or outside your house, which ever you choose. Installation can be a long process and requires quite a few steps. Since I don’t know exactly which ceiling speakers you’re going to get, and what your house is like, I can’t give you step by step instructions, but I can give you basic ideas of what to do. First you want to make sure that you have all the tools that you’ll need. You’ll need a saw, screwdriver, screws, exacto knife, pencil, wire strippers and a level gauge. You may not need all of these and you might need other stuff, depending on your situation. You’ll want to make sure that your ceiling is sturdy enough to take the weight of the speakers. Make sure you cover up any holes after you’re done. Try to run your wires through the ceiling so that you don’t have a lot of ugly wires running all over your living room. Finally, do each step slowly so that you don’t mess up and cost yourself a lot of time and money. You wouldn’t want to bang a whole through your ceiling and hit a water pipe!
